Cavitation is a physical phenomenon. During the treatment, the Comfort Line device uses a multi-cavitation handpiece that emits ultrasonic waves to create a large number of microbubbles in the intercellular space.

As these bubbles form and collapse due to pressure changes caused by the ultrasound waves, they generate shockwaves. When these shockwaves collide in just the right way, they rupture the membrane of fat cells.
